This hood with a long point is based on illustrations from the 14th century, but is not based on any particular find. I designed the pattern myself and of course sewed the hood myself. I sewed this model from loden (wool felt, felted knitwear) and lined it with a thin cotton fabric.

The seams were closed by machine, but the hood was lined by hand and the hem was sewn invisibly by hand in addition to the machine seam so that the hem does not roll.

This red model has a hem width that is about 4 cm less than the other pieces in this pattern, as the gussets were intentionally cut a little narrower. However, it should still sit well on slightly broader shoulders.

If you wish, I can also make this hood for you in a different color, from a different fabric, or with a linen lining. The best way to do this is to contact me directly via Whatsapp, email or Instagram.
