This hood with a long point and tassels is based on illustrations from the 14th century, but is not based on any particular find. I designed the pattern myself and of course sewed the hood myself. I sewed this model from loden (wool felt, felted knitwear) and lined it with a thin cotton fabric.

The wool fabric keeps you wonderfully warm and is therefore ideal for cold autumn and winter days.

The seams were closed by machine, the flaps were finished by hand with a buttonhole stitch and the hem of the lining was sewn in by hand.

The cowl hem tapers slightly to a point in the middle back.

This model is a one-off and will not be sewn a second time. It also sits perfectly on broad shoulders.
